Giving disabled children and young people time to thrive
Working within local communities, we provide Short Breaks so disabled children and young people can spend time with friends, take part in fun and engaging activities, and grow new skills and independence. Our team delivers programmes across multiple locations and we tailor every session to the needs and interests of the young people who attend.
Our Short Breaks welcome children and young people who have a wide range of needs, including physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, sensory differences, and social or communication needs.
We work with local authorities, schools, and families to match each child to the right group and support level.

What fun he had! It was a lovely, quiet session and he got to try so many new activities for the very first time — including archery nerf guns boccia , and Frisbee . And guess what? I got to play too!
I have been searching for somewhere that accommodates my daughter’s needs and that they ENJOY attending . Thank you active south O have never been able to get my daughters to any school or activity without meltdowns and pleading me not to send them. You made their summer , and mine.
I would just like to say a huge thank you for allowing our family to attend yesterday. My kids had an absolutely amazing time. All staff were amazing, so friendly, supportive, understanding and fun. I have 5 children, 4 with SEN and there was something for them all to do. Getting out and finding things to do as a family is really difficult due to their different needs but this afternoon was the most fun we’ve had together in a very long time.
